    What is GEO?

    Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO) is the practice of structuring your web content so that large language models — ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Claude — retrieve, cite, and recommend your site in their responses. Unlike traditional SEO which targets search-engine crawlers, GEO targets the retrieval and summarisation pipelines inside LLMs.

    How the analysis works

    GEOrank fetches your page, parses its DOM and structured data, then runs a battery of 10 checks (free) or 20 checks (Pro) that simulate how LLMs would encounter and evaluate your content. Each check maps to a specific signal that influences LLM citation likelihood.

    Interpreting your score

    Scores range from 0–100 per category and are weighted into an overall score. 80+ is considered Good; 60–79 Needs Work; below 60 is Poor. Each category surfaces specific, actionable issues with effort estimates.
